With roasters from all around the world we have been invited to participate in micro-region showcase of Ilicínea in Minas Gerais.
Together with BSCA, Felipe Croce from FAF is curating this project to highlight the micro-region of ilicinea to showcase this region, it’s terroir and highlighting the small family farms. The farms are located between 1050-1500masl and primarily they plant catuai, catucai and some yellow bourbon which is suited for this area and altitude.
The producers have sent their late harvest top lots to be cupped. Felipe Croce and his team have cupped 200 lots and narrowed it down to 24. It’s a mix of pulped naturals and naturals all scoring 88p and up. Today we are meeting the producers and auction will take place of 20 kg lots and all the proceeds go to the producer
This is a new way for the producers to reach new markets. Stay tuned for when we roast the lot
